Bhrigu lake Manali is not less than a paradise on earth and is considered as pool of God. It is located at an elevation of around 4,300 meters in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, India. Bhrigu Lake trek is a beautiful trek in the eastern side of the famous Rohtang Pass Manali. This trek introduces you to the magical beauty of Himachal Pradesh and its towering peaks.

Bhrigu Lake Trek - Details Itinerary

  • Report at Himalayan Frontiers Camps in Old Manali in the morning.
  • Freshen up and drive to the trekking point at Kulang.
  • Trek from Kulang to Moridugh (approx. 3–4 hours) via an ancient British forest trail.
  • Enjoy a pleasant evening at the campsite, located at an altitude of 9,500 ft above sea level.
  • Capture stunning sunset views over the Dhauladhar Range.

  • This is the day you’ve been waiting for — the trek to Bhrigu Lake starts early in the morning after breakfast.
  • The trail offers mesmerizing mountain views, including the Dhauladhar Range, Hanuman Tibba (highest peak in the Dhauladhar Range at 5,928 meters), Manali Peak, and Friendship Peak.
  • The trek includes walking through snow-covered trails.
  • Spend time at Bhrigu Lake for photography and to touch the sacred waters.
  • The lake is believed to be the meditation site of the Hindu sage Rishi Bhrigu and is considered a holy place for Hindus.
  • Return to the campsite by evening.

  • After breakfast, begin the descent from Moridugh to Kulang Village, the same point where the trek started.

Bhrigu Lake Trek

    Nearest Airport: Bhuntar Airport (Kullu-Manali Airport), approx. 50 km from Manali. From Bhuntar, take a taxi or bus to reach Old Manali, the reporting point.

  • By Train

    Nearest Railway Station: Chandigarh Railway Station (approx. 310 km) or Joginder Nagar Railway Station (approx. 145 km). From either station, take a bus or cab to Manali.

  • By Road

    From Delhi to Manali: Distance: ~540 km Duration: 12–14 hours You can take a Volvo bus or drive via NH3 through Chandigarh and Mandi.
